What is modern style? And how will it be reflected at home?

This short blog is accompanied by photos from my projects that will give you a small taste of my modern world and maybe help you understand if this is your preferred style.

The modern style is one of the styles many people prefer and has been popular recently. If we try to sum it up in one sentence – LESS IS MORE.
It is characterized by clean design, simple elements, few items, straight and clean lines, balance between materials and shapes, and natural materials such as exposed concrete, natural wood, glass, and metal combined with restrained, limited and careful colors..

In order not to "fall" into the trap of the well-known saying that modern style conveys coldness and alienation, it is important to pay attention to this point and combine elements that create a warm feeling in the space, for example by the correct use of a combination of warm colors and textiles that warm up the atmosphere and, of course, the use of wood.

In houses designed in a modern style, spaces, and open spaces are usually created that combine several functions, such as living room, kitchen, and dining area. The functions will be designed in a harmonious way that will fit together and not overload.

Using floating furniture detached from the floor produces a geometric and clean look. 
Use plaster casts to hide the systems, recessed lighting, hidden LED strips, and clean and simple light fixtures.

Designing a staircase from light materials such as wood\metal\railing\glass\cables.

Use of a uniform and limited color scheme: shades of mocha, white, black, and gray in combination with natural materials such as wood \ metal \ glass \ exposed concrete, and sometimes even a shot of a dominant color (red, orange, yellow, etc.) that will pop up and characterize the space.

Modern style kitchen:
Clean - clean - clean
Designing straight and clean facades - without decorations, engravings, and moldings.
Use of integral handles that integrate as one unit with the kitchen fronts.
The design of the kitchen cabinets is up to the height of the ceiling and at a zero line with the wall.
Planning a lot of storage space while considering all the items we would like to store in the kitchen to create a surface free of displayed elements.

Modern style living room:

In the living room, we want to create a space that balances shapes and volumes to create an interesting, harmonious, and uncluttered geometry.
We will define the space into zones according to function - seating, storage, media, etc. Each element in the space will be referenced in size, shape, and, of course, material and color.
