The interior-exterior connection

When we decide on the design of the house, the garden is an integral part of it. Ideally, we would like to create a connection between the interior and the exterior harmoniously and optimally.
The exterior has long been an integral part of home design, and there are several ways to combine the two.

Designing openings and balconies
There is no more prominent element of letting nature enter the house than creating large and wide openings facing a green lung and bringing in the sunlight and the greenery. If we can plan balconies that will give us the feeling of a private space that is only ours, under the sky where we can entertain, drink our coffee or read a good book, it's ideal!
Planning vegetation on the balconies and the garden (in a private house) will add another dimension of liveliness, nature, and greenery. It will make it a pleasant and peaceful place.
Creating openings in the ceiling - a skylight that will let in a continuous light coming from above creates the feeling that the sky is coming in and can be seen from inside the house and obscures the feeling that we are in a closed place.

Selection of raw materials

The principle of material selection accompanies us from selecting the entrance gate to the house through selecting the outdoor flooring that matches the house's interior and gives us a sense of continuity, space, and a direct connection between the interior and exterior.

Another example is incorporating a deck in the balcony flooring that interfaces with the house's interior. And suppose we really like the rustic look. In that case, combining a wooden parquet floor in the house with the entrance floor can create a natural and harmonious continuation.

Planning a pergola - beyond creating a covered and shaded area, choosing the material from which it is made may contribute to the direct connection between the outside and the inside. For example, choosing a pergola with iron beams will look great and reflect the modern style chosen for the house's interior.

Creating identical functions inside and outside
Creating identical functions inside and outsideTo create a common denominator between the interior and the exterior and a strong connection between the two, we will plan functions that repeat themselves outside when we design the house. For example, outdoor kitchens will not replace the kitchen that must be found in every home but will strengthen the bond of family members to hang out and entertain outside. Today's seating and entertaining areas have countless designed examples and durable materials that produce a quality feeling and a perfect experience, as if we are sitting on the couch in the living room. Planning an outdoor shower, jacuzzi, TV viewing areas, etc.

This diffusion allows the feeling that the outside becomes an inseparable part of the house and produces an overall spatial perception of the interior and exterior.

Lighting
Playing with light can also create a direct connection between the house and the garden. The design of the lighting in the garden creates interest. It is visible from the house openings inward throughout the hours of the day and not only when the sun is shining in the sky.
